Forced Symmetry
Necromany
Level: Wiz 5
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 Standard Action
Range: Touch
Effect: Special
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: Yes
Once you have cast this spell, you must succeed at a Touch Attack roll to affect the target creature. When you touch the target creature, you must decide if this spell is for weal or woe:
Weal: By selecting a healthy portion of the creature touched, you cause both sides of the creature to match in perfect symmetry, This cures 50% of all Hit Point and Ability damage. Thus, if the creature touched had previously sustained 20 points of HP damage, the creature would be healed 10HP. If they had 2 points of ability damage to the same ability score, that would be decreased to 1 point of ability damage.
Woe: By selecting a damaged portion of the creature touched, you cause both sides of the creature to match in perfect symmetry. This causes the creatures current Hit Point and Ability damage to increase by 50%. Thus, if the creature touched had previously sustained 20 opoints of HP damage, the creature would take 10 points of HP damage from this spell. If they had 2 points of ability damage to the same ability score, that would be increased to 3 points of ability damage.
This spell cannot be used on creatures without a symmetrical anatomy, including any creature immune to Critical Hits, Ability Damage, or extra-damage from precision attacks (Sneak Attack, etc.) There is no Cap. on the amount of damage that can be added or subtracted by this spell, though multiple casting on the same creature have no additional effect as it pertains to current damage.
